The Wrath of God – Part 1

This Lord’s Day morning, the Apostle Paul is transitioning from his greeting to the Romans and the theme of the letter, to a topic greatly needed in the contemporary church, its evangelism, and discipleship – the wrath of God. We hope to define it, illustrate it from scripture, and then show the people God’s wrath are directed towards.

Romans: Its Theme and Purpose

This Lord’s Day morning we continue in the opening chapter of the Epistle to the Romans. The Apostle Paul is bringing his greeting to the believers in Rome to a close, and in doing so, reveals the theme of his letter and its purpose. As he does, he makes a statement “I am not ashamed of the Gospel” which is an important truth to understand and embrace.

The Gospel in Romans: Paul’s Passion – The Letter’s Theme

This Lord’s Day morning we continue in the opening chapter of the Epistle to the Romans. The Apostle Paul is bringing his greeting to the believers in Rome to a close, and in doing so, reveals his passion in life and the theme of his letter to theme; the Gospel of the Lord Jesus. From the Apostle Paul, we find a continual model to follow in being Gospel-centered in all of life.
