Pleasing God, Making Disciples of Jesus Christ

Ephesians

The Apostle Paul’s Prayer For Assurance – Part 1

Pastor Jim begins this exploration of Paul’s first prayer in Ephesians, which petitions God for assurance. This assurance comes from God infusing every part of our being with the knowledge of the hope He has called us to, the riches of His inheritance, and the greatness of His power. In this message we learn about the general petition and more detail about where the knowledge of God is received by us and what is the hope that He has called us to.

The Prison Prayers of the Apostle Paul Part 2

Ephesians 1:15-19 – For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the…

Make It Count

I believe all Christians share two commonalities when it comes to time. First, we complain there just isn’t enough of it. In the frantic pace of life, often self-imposed, we seem to have so much to do and so little time to do it. A second common trait in Christians, actually all humans, is we waste time. THEME OF THE DAY. DELIGHTFUL COMPANY. I grew up…

QBC in 2017 Update – A Fellowship of Prayer

I wanted to follow-up and encourage you on what our emphasis has been as we move into 2017. We have basically laid out our vision and it is rooted in the Apostle Paul’s prayer found in Ephesians 3:14-19. Our desire, goal, and pursuit, as individuals and a church, into the new year is to “Know Christ, His love, and experience the Biblical realities of walking in the fullness of God.”

The Places Where Battles Are Fought

Every Christian knows by their knowledge of God’s Word and personal experience the life of following Christ is a daily spiritual war of great spiritual intensity. Some days more so than others, but the reality of the Christian life is summed up in one word – conflict. It is a conflict that will never cease in this life; will take no vacation or offer any terms of surrender.
