Sunday, June 6, 2021

Dear QBC Family,

In preparation for the upcoming Lord’s Day, the following are the sermon titles and texts we hope to encounter.

Sunday am – “Our Privileges and Responsibilities: The Ministries of Encouragement and Edification” (1 Thessalonians 4:18; 5:11)

In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians, he twice gives the command “encourage one another” with an additional command to “build one another up” or edify. These are two of the most important commands a Christian may obey. They give evidence we are Christians while lifting up other believers in the warfare and struggles of the Christian life.

*As a reminder, in addition to holding in person services, we will live stream by video/audio service beginning at 10:30 am and 6:00 pm*

** An email on how to tune into the stream will be sent out before the Lord’s Day **

Sunday 6:00 pm – “Seeking Revival: The Qualities in the Love of Jesus Toward People” (1 Corinthians 13:4)

This Lord’s Day evening, we continue our series on the chief fruit of revival – love; love for God and His people. We will look at the descriptions of the Lord’s love which empowers our love as found in 1 Corinthians 13 and begin with “Love is patient.”

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ: Its Implications

This Lord’s Day, we celebrate our Lord’s resurrection; He is risen – He is risen indeed! The resurrection of our Lord is not only the bedrock foundation of our faith, but it is the power to live the Christian life. We hope to see the implications of our Lord’s rising from the grave in Christianity as well as its impact on all human beings – believer and unbelievers alike.

Motivated By Love

1 CORINTHIANS 16:14:  Let all that you do be done in love.” It is less than ten words, yet, like a small stick of dynamite, it contains enormous power. In fact, it is the greatest power in the earth. It heals hurts. It carries burdens. It lifts the downcast. It removes the dark clouds of depression. And in God’s work of the…
