Pleasing God, Making Disciples of Jesus Christ

Sermons

Romans 10:14-15 – How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Our Responsibilities and Privileges: The Ministry of Edification

God has gifted all of His children with at least one spiritual gift that is to be active in the lives of other Christians for their spiritual growth. That is the church alive. Is He using you in the spiritual development of other believers? This Lord’s Day, we look at four ways God may use us in the exercise of our spiritual gifts for the good of His people.

Our Responsibilities and Privileges: The Ministries of Encouragement and Edification – Part 2

In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians, he twice gives the command “encourage one another” with an additional command to “build one another up” or edify. These are two of the most important commands a Christian may obey and show an ultimate obedience to loving one another. This Lord’s Day, we look at the ways we may minster encouragement to one another.

Sunday, June 6, 2021

Dear QBC Family,

In preparation for the upcoming Lord’s Day, the following are the sermon titles and texts we hope to encounter.

Sunday am – “Our Privileges and Responsibilities: The Ministries of Encouragement and Edification” (1 Thessalonians 4:18; 5:11)

In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians, he twice gives the command “encourage one another” with an additional command to “build one another up” or edify. These are two of the most important commands a Christian may obey. They give evidence we are Christians while lifting up other believers in the warfare and struggles of the Christian life.

*As a reminder, in addition to holding in person services, we will live stream by video/audio service beginning at 10:30 am and 6:00 pm*

** An email on how to tune into the stream will be sent out before the Lord’s Day **

Sunday 6:00 pm – “Seeking Revival: The Qualities in the Love of Jesus Toward People” (1 Corinthians 13:4)

This Lord’s Day evening, we continue our series on the chief fruit of revival – love; love for God and His people. We will look at the descriptions of the Lord’s love which empowers our love as found in 1 Corinthians 13 and begin with “Love is patient.”
