Pleasing God, Making Disciples of Jesus Christ

Women of Grace Bible Study – James

In October we will begin doing an expository study through the epistle of James. Where the epistle does not explicitly offer or explain the gospel, this epistle is rich in how to live out our faith. James offers the now what and so what of the gospel by how then should we live out our faith in Jesus Christ. We are to be doers of the Word and practice true religion. James preaches the gospel by showing us the need for the gospel to be able to live by faith and obedience, giving a portrait of a living faith, how true faith manifests itself.

Please join us on the second Saturday at 8:30 am, starting in October. This replaces the monthly Tuesday evening bible study. Also, in October, since the second Saturday is Columbus Day weekend, we will be meeting on the first Saturday on October 3rd. There will be no book to buy, just bring your Bible and we will be learning and utilizing basic interpretive techniques and tools as we go through the epistle. We are going to be theologians learning and studying what the text says and draw out the treasure of God’s Word. I will be providing worksheets before each lesson for preparation.

Please come join in this exciting study and fellowship with other women Saturday mornings! Look forward to seeing you on October 3rd at 8:30 am. Please contact Dana Altland or the QBC Office if you have questions or to sign up.
