In this class, Ministry Training Network – in partnership with QBC – ventures for the first time into the key area of church history. But can the contemporary church really learn valuable lessons from the past? 10 Great Ideas from Church History answers this question with a resounding “Yes!”. Instead of simply following the latest trends in church life, church leaders (and Potential leaders) will be challenged by great ideas from the last 500 years that have stood the test o time. Among others, we will study the ideas of Martin Luther, John Calvin, Jonathan Edwards, John Wesley, William Carey, William Wilberforce, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Their ideas, based on Scripture, can shape the vision and decision-making of your church today.
