Pleasing God, Making Disciples of Jesus Christ

Missions

Ministries

Our motto at QBC is ‘Pleasing God, Making Disciples of Jesus Christ’. This not only includes Rhode Island but to the remotest parts of the earth as commanded in Acts 1:8:

you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

John Piper said “Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t.” QBC is committed to reaching for Christ not just those here in our “Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria” but to the least-reached in the remotest parts of the world.

And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit…

Biblically-Defined Spiritual Friendships

PSALM 119:63 – I am a companion of all who fear you, of those who keep your precepts.” So, do we have spiritual friendships? I know that is vague and what it doesn’t mean is “We have Christian friends or acquaintances; those brothers and sisters we see on Sundays, maybe attend a Bible study together but never get into the “nuts and…

Wearing Gospel Shoes

EPHESIANS 6:13-18-Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In…
