Come and remember the beginning of our Lord’s journey to the cross and resurrection. We will have a service at 7:00pm on Maundy Thursday focusing on Christ’s messages during the last Passover supper he celebrated with his Apostles.
Maundy Thursday is a service that combines scripture, testimony, music and communion. Maundy Thursday is a term derived from the Latin madatum nevum, “a new commandment” associated with John 13:34, “a new commandment I give to you that you love one another.”
The heart of the Maundy Thursday service is to remember the last fellowship meal that Christ shared with His disciples before He was betrayed and crucified. Even in their shortcomings, Christ extended His love to His disciples. Through this service, we are reminded that though we, too, fall short, Christ’s love is extended to us.
We hope you will join us for this special service. If you do attend, please enter and leave the service quietly as many will come early and stay late to pray.
