So, picture this scene. It’s a normal day, evening, or night. We are alone. Nothing extraordinary going on. We are simply doing life. Then, an angel appears. Literally. And not just any angel, but Gabriel, the messenger of God.

Am I conscious of all the people in my spheres of influence – neighbors, other believers in my church, and people God brings into my life – that feel alone, abandoned, and neglected?
When the question of “the will of God” comes up in our lives, whether in a conversation with other believers or in the privacy of our own thoughts as we struggle with decisions in life, what are the predominant things that come to the front?
Does Jesus have first place in our affections? If He does, there is no relationship, no pursuit, no hobby, no recreation, no vocation, and no desire that puts Jesus second place in our hearts and minds.
