Romans 10:14-15 – How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Salt and Light in a Decaying Culture – Part 6

In this sermon we continue to look at the three relationships where submission is called for – our public lives as citizens, our vocational lives in the workplace and home life, and our marriages. We will now move on to the second one – our lives in our callings at work and home. In our journey through 1 Peter, the Apostle is showing us how to live as salt and light in decaying culture.

And the first point of emphasis he makes is what describes the whole of the Christian life – submission. He will unfold three relationships where this submission is called for – our public lives as citizens, our vocational lives in the workplace, and our marriages in our homes. We will be in the first one – our public life as citizens.
