In our journey through 1 Peter, the Apostle is showing us how our conduct is to be in a culture far away from God. This section reveals what are responses are to be when called to suffer for Christ and the opportunities to present the Gospel as a result of the suffering. .
This Lord’s Day evening, we return to our study of the wisdom book of Proverbs. We will begin our third theme and one of that is everyone’s challenge – pride. The Proverbs has a lot to say about the Lord’s attitude toward pride and its destructive power.
This sermon points us to the impact of holy speech, honorable conduct, and living harmonious when conflict comes; a strong witness for the Lord Jesus. These very actions and attitudes are counter-cultural and give the world a reason to ask us about the source of our conduct and hope.
