In this sermon we continue examining what Solomon has to say about our words by exploring the qualities found in wholesome speech that honors the Lord.
The Apostle Peter is showing us how to live as salt and light in a decaying culture. He does so by identifying three relationships which are to influence our culture for the Lord Jesus; our lives as public citizens, on our jobs, and in our marriages. We will begin looking at the last one – marriage – and the roles of wives and husbands in a salt and light marriage.
In this sermon, we move into the second theme that is the most dominant in Proverbs; our speech. Solomon has a lot to say about our words and it is our speech which is the truest revealer of our spiritual condition.
In our journey through 1 Peter, we now come to the Apostle is showing us the ultimate example of submission in the Lord Jesus. He serves as the model for our submission in all relationships.
