Christian Convert Arrested in India

A young man was arrested recently after sharing his testimony in a home Bible study. Karamjit, who was raised in the Sikh faith, was invited to share his testimony with a small group on March 13. As he was speaking, police entered the home and arrested him.

Local Sikh leaders had filed a complaint against Karamjit alleging that he was forcibly converting people to Christianity. Karamjit is currently in Chenchaljud jail and has been denied bail three times. According to contacts, Karamjit is neither a pastor nor an evangelist, but simply a Christian sharing what God has done in his life.

Karamjit has a wife and a young child, and they are now being threatened because of their Christian faith. Pray for the safety of his family, and pray that he will be released soon.
