Every October 31, we are provided with a special opportunity to give thanks to God for His outpouring of grace and mercy during the days of the Protestant Reformation. We admire Martin Luther’s convictional courage as he rallied God’s people to stand for the truth. Dr. R.C. Sproul often reminded us that the gospel must be heralded in every generation with clarity and boldness.
I want to let you know about a unique, online event coming up in a few days, hosted by Ligonier to serve Spanish– and Portuguese-speaking Christians around the world. This event is titled Romans 8, and it will be streamed in Spanish and Portuguese on Saturday, October 31, beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET.
The speakers will be Sinclair Ferguson, Sugel Michelén, Stephen Nichols, Augustus Nicodemus, Miguel Núñez, and Burk Parsons. Together, these gifted teachers will guide viewers through the beautiful theology of Romans 8, a chapter of Scripture filled with many of the rich gospel truths at the very center of the Reformation. Because there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, we have certainty that we can never be separated from the love of our gracious God. Therefore, we are to live as more than conquerors in Him, even in the direst of life’s circumstances.
If you know someone who is a Spanish or Portuguese speaker that would benefit from this teaching we encourage you to share this article or the direct links with them.
