This Lord’s Day, we will be privileged to have the chairman of our Elder Board, Gene Andersen, preach a farewell address to the QBC family. Gene is relocating to California and this will be his last Lord’s Day morning with us. We have been blessed and honored by his example and sacrificial leadership for over sixteen years, and though we feel sadness, we rejoice in God’s goodness of having the Andersen family with us these many years.
The times we find ourselves living in are difficult and getting more so, just as the Apostle Paul declares. They are also purging times in Jesus’ church.

In part three of our series, we begin looking at the Christian response. And the most important and critical need of the hour is for the church of Jesus Christ to be the church of Jesus in the world; His people living out the power and influence of His love – something the church at Ephesus had abandoned – first love. This Lord’s Day we want to identify the qualities in the Christian who is living out first love for the Lord Jesus and people.

Yes, even pastors, even the greatest of servants, like all Christians, fight fear of difficulties and tough circumstances. And the Apostle Paul provides Timothy and us, sound Biblical and encouraging ways to overcome fear.
