In the past weeks, we have seen from the Apostle Paul, the ministry God honors. It is marked by Gospel-centeredness, stewardship, sincerity, Christ-like gentleness, affection, authority, and is a ministry of encouragement. This Lord’s Day, we look at the way the Thessalonians responded and the results of their response. In doing so, we evaluate ourselves and our responses to God’s Work in a ministry He honors.
Every Christian is a minister of the Lord Jesus. In our homes, neighborhoods, churches, and on our jobs, we serve the Lord Jesus and His gospel. In fulfilling this high calling, what are the qualities in our ministries that honor God? In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians, chapter two, he gives us the marks of such a ministry. This Lord’s Day we look at the mark of encouragement – the most needed ministry Christians do in the lives of other believers.
