Pleasing God, Making Disciples of Jesus Christ

Sermons

Romans 10:14-15 – How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

The Prayer that Defines and Directs the Christian Life – Part 10

This Lord’s Day morning, we continue our study of the Apostle Paul’s second prayer for the believers in Ephesus. Lord willing, we enter into the substance of the second petition – being strengthened by God’s Spirit in our inner being so that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith. In an age of much spiritual activity and excitement, we need to ensure the Jesus we claim to know and worship is the Jesus of the Bible and not our imagination. We hope to identify who is this One, the Biblical Jesus, we are praying will dwell within the believer’s heart.

The Case of and Cure for the Self-Deception of a Profession only faith

This Lord’s Day evening, we continue in 1 John looking at a serious issue the apostle addresses; professing to be a Christian who walks with the Lord but in reality, the life lived lacks the evidence this is true. We hope to identify the marks of self-deception and the way to affirm we are true children of God.

The Prayer that Defines and Directs the Christian Life – Part 9

This Lord’s Day morning, we continue our study of the Apostle Paul’s second prayer for the believers in Ephesus. Lord willing, we enter into the substance of the second petition – being strengthened by God’s Spirit in our inner being. We hope to identify who is this inner being and the evidence we have become this new creature in Christ so we may experience the answers to this prayer.

The Prayer that Defines and Directs the Christian Life – Part 8

This Lord’s Day morning, we continue our study of the Apostle Paul’s second prayer for the believers in Ephesus. Lord willing, we enter into the second petitions; being strengthened by God’s Spirit to experience the love of Christ. It is in this petition being answered we define and live the Christian life – a life under the control of Christ’s love.
