The spiritual war God ordains for His children this side of heaven is intense, never-ending, and necessitates a continual posture of watchfulness by the believer.
This Lord’s Day, we continue with part two of Job’s response to the counsel from his friend Eliphaz. In it, we will hear a suffering child of God brutally honest and transparent in prayer before his God. It is a wonderful picture of our close we are to be to God as revealed in the qualities and authenticity of our prayers.
This Lord’s Day, we hear Job’s response to the first bit of counsel from his friend Eliphaz. In it, we see a lot about the human condition living under God’s curse, the transparency one is to have with God, and how deep the pain may be when giving bad counsel to a hurting soul.
Am I conscious of all the people in my spheres of influence – neighbors, other believers in my church, and people God brings into my life – that feel alone, abandoned, and neglected?
This Lord’s Day, we return to our series in the Old Testament book of Job and our second look at the advice given to Job from his Eliphaz. In his counsel, there is much truth about who God is and what God does. Though lacking love, Eliphaz speaks truth that will encourage us in our walks with the Lord.
