Our Responsibilities and Privileges: The Ministries of Encouragement and Edification – Part 1

In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians, he twice gives the command “encourage one another” with an additional command to “build one another up” or edify. These are two of the most important commands a Christian may obey. They give evidence we are Christians while lifting up other believers in the warfare and struggles of the Christian life.

Guided All the Way Home

Today’s scripture has theological substance as well as heart-warming, devotional substance. All theology should have heart-warming, devotional substance. If doctrine isn’t enflaming our hearts but only informing our minds, we are missing its purpose.
