Since March of 2013, the Central African Republic (CAR) has been plagued by violence, instability, and chaos. Rebel groups, guerrillas, gangs, and militias all have run mostly unchecked through the country.

On May 2nd a pastor serving one of India’s minority tribal groups was abducted murdered by masked men. Police believe Maoist guerrillas were behind the murder.

On November 10th 2017, police in Andijan, in eastern Uzbekistan, raided the apartment of Irina Stepanova, a member of a local Baptist church.
