Pleasing God, Making Disciples of Jesus Christ

Convert in Niger Shunned, then Welcomed

When Karina Ali became a Christian after reading Bible stories about Jesus, her Muslim father was so angry that he kicked her out of the house and refused to pay her school fees. Local Christians paid her fees so that she could finish school, and after graduation Karina enrolled in nursing school. When it came time for her to complete her nursing practicum, Karina chose to return to her village.

The village women took note of her dedication and service, and even her father acknowledged that her fait was good for her and the community. Today, Karina is completing her studies in a larger city, but her village has requested that she return when she is finished so she can be a positive influence on other village girls. Praise God for the reconciliation occurring between Karina and her father.
