Dear QBC Family,
I wanted to follow-up and encourage you on what our emphasis has been as we move into 2017. We have basically laid out our vision and it is rooted in the Apostle Paul’s prayer found in Ephesians 3:14-19.
EPHESIANS 3:14-19 – For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Our desire, goal, and pursuit, as individuals and a church, into the new year is to “Know Christ, His love, and experience the Biblical realities of walking in the fullness of God.” What a staggering prayer to have answered in our lives!
To that end, we are looking at this year as a year of seeking the Lord with a strong emphasis on prayer; both in our homes and together, as a church. We find throughout the Bible God’s people are people of fervent prayer; alone and with one another. As we seek revival, and look at revival history, God appears to favor His people with such when they gather to pray together. To that end, we have many opportunities for us to pray together. I do hope you each will consider the privilege, responsibility, and opportunity to exercise this with your brothers and sisters into the new year.

5th Sunday of the month (five in 2017)
6:00 p.m. (evening service for prayer)
Also, into the new year, our emphasis on the Word from the pulpit will be the start of new series in the a.m. through 1 and 2 Peter looking at “Joy and Suffering in the Christian Life” and in the evenings, we will continue our series on prayer.
May the Lord help us into the new year to seek Him, band together closer as a church, and leave a mark on our generation for the Lord Jesus.
